Families

‘Families’ come in all shapes and sizes and you’ll find that there is provision for the whole family and a relaxed approach at many of our services that will hopefully make it an enjoyable experience for you all.  We believe that everyone is part of a Family and we aim to be open-minded and fully inclusive.

There are specific programmes for children and youth alongside the adult services at St Mary’s, there is a short once a month service specifically for families at Stoke Climsland and regular all age services across the cluster.  Our churches each have a children’s area, all designed to provide a fun environment while learning something about faith.  Our adult leaders and helpers all have appropriate safeguarding clearance.

Outside our regular church services we actively provide support for families and individuals with needs.  Everyone at some stage experiences upheavals and difficulties in their lives and we aim to provide practical and spiritual support where we can. Below are these activities and information on how you can attend.

We have three different family services for you to enjoy. These are not just for children but adults also get inspired and teaching from these services. You can find the times and locations of these services on our When and where page.

We feel it very important for families to enjoy time together.  Every month there is  'Messy Church' in Callington and in Stoke Clilmsland giving all the members of the family the opportunity to join together in an afternoon of fun and creativity, all topped off with food at the end of each session. Callington Messy church is every 2nd Sunday of the month at 3.30pm in the Callington Methodist church. Stoke Climsland Messy church is on the 1st Saturday of the month in the Old school, Stoke Climsland (Unless otherwise stated) at 3pm. Children and adults of all ages are very welcome no matter how young or old. Find out more by contacting Dawn & Dominic Nelson 01579 370228 or email for Stoke Messy church and contact Callington Methodist for their Messy church. Why not come along and get messy!

Our parent/toddler group Whizzkids on Wednesdays, or WoW, meets every Wednesday from 9.00 am during term time and supports parents and guardians with new born babies up to pre-school age children.  There are toys, games, craft activities, stories, songs, refreshments and volunteers ready to listen to your concerns.
