Caring

Historically the church, through its people, has provided help and support to people in need.  This continues to be a key aim of our church life - to be there to support, to provide practical and spiritual help as best we can.  At all of our churches we have pastoral teams who are able to offer assistance in times of need.  Foodbanks, lunch clubs and fellowship groups are other aspects of church life which aim to meet the caring needs in community.  We would also never underestimate the power of prayer in the situations we come across - based on experience we know that prayer changes things, and God often transforms things to bring good out of bad. At any of the church services there will always be someone on hand to pray with you so please do ask. If you need to speak to someone during the week visit our pastoral care team page here.

Below are the prayer groups and other activities we have to care for our church and wider community.

We have four different prayer meetings during the week to accomodate you, no matter your schedule. You are very welcome at any of these meetings, there will always be a seat waiting for you.

Monday's 9am-10am ~ St. Mary's church, Callington

Monday's 6pm-7pm ~ Stoke Climsland church

Tuesday's 9.30am-10 ~ St. Sampson's church, South Hill

Friday's 9.30-10.30am ~ CrossLink Centre, Upton Cross

(South hill meets else where in the winter. Email Rachael Budd for more information.)

Prayer Space meet monthly to pray for our personal family members who have either lost their faith, or who have never experienced one. Our hearts ache for our loved ones to know God, and prayer is at the heart of everything we do. Sometimes we are able to celebrate the answers to our prayers. With love and support we carry each other, and not only pray collectively but also during our own individual quiet times. This means that our loved ones are being prayed for daily. Everyone is more than welcome  to join us. We meet on the 4th Tuesday each month from 2.30  – 3.30pm. From September to April we meet at the Parish Church of Stoke Climsland, and from May to August we meet at St Sampson’s Church at South Hill.
